After a lot of consideration we finally decided to go and ride all of route 66.

Therefor we will fly to Chicago on april 30th 2009 and pick up a Harley-Davidson Electraglide on may 1st after which we will ride at least 2732 miles (4398 kilometers) to Los Angeles. A trip which has been a dream for a long time for us and at the same it will allow relatives from out of Holland to stay in our house and have a nice vacation for themselves.

We will not ride all of Route66 there is as we are planning to make a detour through New Mexico. Upon arrival in Santa Fe, NM we will head north and go via Los Alamos and Cuba further north to Mexican Hat and, most importantly, Monument Valley.

From there our route brings us south via Chinle and back onto Route66.

On this site you can find our preparations and during the trip we will try to keep this site updated with the stuff we see while on the road.
